NOTES

Religion and ceremony are a large part of every day life.  The man in the first image is tipping his hat at the church located on a public square as he walks by.  Earlier, I had seen a mother carrying her baby stop to face the church and cross herself as she passed.  The second, third and fourth images are of the main cathedral on the main plaza.  I took these just as the sun went down to get the church lite up with a dark blue sky - unfortunately, the church did not turn on all the lights this night.

Churches anchor the public squares around the city.  The squares are where people gather to shop, eat, socialize, rest, get their shoes shinned and let their children play.  They have no playgrounds for children as they remain with their parents and play in the public squares.
