These images show pilgrims early in the morning on the road walking from the main cathedral in San Miguel de Allende to reach mass held in San Martin. They travel with small marching bands, flags and symbolic tokens. I saw tent churches with priests and their congregations along the side of the road. The mass was held on November 10th to bless the horses. The fourth image shows pilgrims who have nearly arrived at San Martin. To travel the same distance, we took a bus ride from San Miguel de Allende to San Martin that took us about 45 minutes.
